Teeth
While learning all about how to take care of our teeth, Senior Infants carried out the Eggshell Experiment . Scientists discovered that eggshells are quite similar to the enamel that protects our teeth so Senior Infants used eggs to test how our teeth can be damaged by tea, coke, vinegar and water. They smothered one egg in fluoride toothpaste to find out if it would protect the shell. They predicted the results then observed the eggs for 3 days. There was much surprise to find one bouncy egg at the end of the experiment! The class observed that toothpaste is very important for out teeth and that water doesn't damage our nashers at all!
